Hello and welcome to my blog! For a long time, I resisted starting a blog for the same reasons that inspired many other immigration lawyers to start theirs. I didn’t want to offer recycled content from government websites and pretend to contribute original thoughts to the discussion; I didn’t want to set up hypothetical scare scenarios only to introduce myself as a knight in shining armor; I didn’t want to write about things just because I can and because everyone else is doing it, systematically populating my blog with content that readers can easily find elsewhere. And most of all, I didn’t want to start a blog until I felt I was ready to enjoy it and not let it become a drag. But the time has come. So here’s what I promise to all my readers: (1) I will not write about anything unless I feel strongly about it and have something original to say; (2) I will not write about anything solely to promote myself and my immigration law practice; and, (3) I will not publish recycled content. And as soon as this blog ceases to be fun I swear I will revert to a more productive activity, such as working on my clients’ cases.
